Kim W. Hartwig, age 70 of Monroe, died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1952 in Monroe, the son of William and Marilyn (Hasse) Hartwig. He graduated from Monroe High School. Kim married Sue A. Peterson on June 3, 1978 in Brodhead. He was a dairy farmer his entire life. When he was not on the farm, he could either be found at one of the pool tables in the county or, in his younger days, canoeing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sue of Monroe, his mother, Marilyn Hartwig of Monroe; children: Nick Hartwig of Monroe and Angela (James) McLean of Brookfield, WI; grandchildren: Meadow Hartwig, Tripp and Tadhg McLean; sister, Wendy (Will) Pick of Browntown. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Hartwig.

Private services will be held at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
