Joanne Kegebein, age 81 of Monroe, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Azura Memory Care. She was born on April 16, 1939 in Milford, Illinois, the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Callahan) Schuringa. She attended McHenry, IL school systems.

Joanne married Robert H. Kegebein Sr. on March 2, 1968 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She farmed with her husband and loved to bake; having her own business making wedding cakes. She was a member of Monroe Bible Church.

Joanne was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with family and friends; she also enjoyed gardening and crafts.

She is survived by her children: Richard (Mary) Rehberg of Green Bay, Ronald (Kathy) Rehberg of Grand Junction, CO, Robert (Jackie) Kegebein Jr. of Onalaska, Lori (Rob) Rehberg-Suda of Janesville, Jodi Kegebein, Sandra Kegebein, and Patricia Kegebein, all of Monroe; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Sue) Schuringa of Monroe; sisters: Janet (Wayne) Frantz of McHenry, IL, Carol Toussaint of Johnsberg, IL, Sheila (Doug) McDougall of McHenry, IL, Shirley (Brent) McDougall of Fulton, KS, and Valerie (Chuck) Jacques of Fox River Grove, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Edward Schuringa, and sister, Mildred Kulin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 12, 2021 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.
