James “Jim” Stauffer, age 57 of Browntown passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on August 8, 1968 the son of Robert and Joyce (Stauffacher) Stauffer. Jim graduated from Black Hawk High School in 1986. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at RR Donnelley. Jim enjoyed attending tractor pulls, tractor and farm shows, and spending time ATV riding with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Joy Trumble of Monroe, Jayne (Randy) Howald of Forreston, IL, Jeff Stauffer of Monroe, and Julie (Steve) Gottschalk of DeForest; aunts, Barb Stofflet and Joyce D. Stauffer; 6 nieces and nephews; 2 great-nephews; cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held on August 8, 2026 at the Holler Inn in Browntown starting at 2:00 PM.
