Gerald “Jerry” Gene Wiesenberg, age 83, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born the son of Erwin and Martha (Kline) Wiesenberg on their family home-farm east of Monroe. He attended Monroe schools. Jerry was united in marriage to Janet Patricia Ihus on October 10, 1959 in Blanchardville.

Jerry started working for Monroe Ready Mix as a truck driver as a teenager; he later became their mechanic and spent 50 dedicated years with their company. After his retirement he continued to drive dump truck for those who needed him. He was a former member of the Monroe Moose Lodge #754. Jerry enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, gardening, fishing, hunting, and making jam; which he loved to share with family and friends. He and his family have many great memories visiting their cabin on Lake Wisconsin for nearly 20 years for vacations and weekend getaways.

Jerry is survived by his children, Brenda (Harlan) Emberson of Argyle, Renee (Andy Strack) Wiesenberg of Monticello, Sandra (Steve) Flannery of Argyle, and Connie (Dave Kann) Bartow of Monroe; 7 grandchildren, Amanda (Courtney Carter) Emberson, Bryon (fiancé, Hannah Hanson) Emberson, Kevin and Sarah Flannery, Jacob (Marci) Boss, Joshua Boss, and Janean (Anthony) Anderson; 4 great-grandchildren, Elena and Emily Boss and Easton and Hadley Anderson; brother, Nathan (Penny) Wiesenberg; and sisters-in-law, Mary Wiesenberg of Monroe and Grace Peterson of Mt. Horeb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet in 2017; grandson, Jeremy Boss; great-grandson, Noah Anderson; son-in-law, Dennis Bartow; siblings, Delores Meyers, Erwin, Kenneth, and Richard Wiesenberg, and Rose in infancy; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Bernadine) Ihus, Donald (Pauline) Ihus, Paul Ihus, and Maynard Peterson; and sisters-in-law, Donna (Paul) O’Brien, Betty (Edward) Duffey, and Marilyn (Burnell) Moen.

Memorial Services will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. A private family burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery later.
