Eulalia L. “Corky” Bergum, age 82 of Monroe, died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on May 8, 1938 in Apple River, Illinois, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Bourquin) Watson. She graduated Winslow High School. Eulalia married Chester Wayne Bergum on October 1st,1954 in Winslow, Illinois. She worked at Monroe Manor as a Nurse’s aide for many years. Eulalia was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in South Wayne; she enjoyed traveling, going fishing in Northern Wisconsin, and loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Terry Bergum of Monroe, Linda (Tim) Williams of South Wayne, and Tammy (Keith) Friske of Monroe; 2 grandchildren: Steve Bergum and Tracy Williams and 3 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren,1 great great grandchild and 5 step great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Marjory Watson, Lula Miller, and Carlene Snook, grandson, Timothy Williams Jr., and daughter-in-law, Janet Bergum.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in South Wayne, with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
