Delbert J. Harder, age 82 of Monroe, died Thursday August 27, 2020 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1938 in Mede County, Kansas; the son of Jake and Sara (Weibe) Harder. Delbert married Alberta M. Kubly on May 24, 1975 in Monticello.

Delbert was a truck driver in his earlier years and later worked at Laidlaw in Monticello for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool.

He is survived by his daughter, Tami Powell of Beloit; 8 grandchildren; Brandon (Tara) Harder, Bradley Harder, Amanda Mueller, Ben Harder, James Harder Jr., Jacob Harder, Josh Harder and Sarah Harder; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Ruth Johannsen of Mede, KS; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons: James and Richard Harder; sisters, Alma Grauer and Edna McCall.

A Celebration of Delbert’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, in Monroe.
