Carol June Ethridge

Carol June Ethridge (nee Kohl), age 76, of Monroe, died October 21, 2019 at Agrace Hospice Facility in Fitchburg. Carol was born on October 30, 1942 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Forrest and Irene (Duchow) Kohl. She graduated from Orangeville High School in 1960. She married Doral "Dutch" Ethridge, January 18, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa. She was employed at Swiss Colony for over 35 years, as the Manager of data entry, before retiring in 2002. 

She is survived by three sons, Mike (Diane) of Green Bay, Steven (Jenny) of Austin, TX, Brian (Clarisse) of Middleton; a daughter, Julie Ethridge of Madison; grandsons, Aaron, Adam (Emily), Corey (Elizabeth), Erich, Clark, and Mitchell Ethridge; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Annie; sister, Barbara Henning of Tylertown, MS; brother, Curtis (Diane) Kohl of Monroe; sister, Tari Dower of Monroe; brother-in-law, Robert Ethridge of Monroe; sisters-in-law, Shirley Elmer of Monroe and Margie Rufer of Billings, MO.

Carol fully embraced life in Monroe. Her community involvement included, among other things, volunteering for the Green County Food Bank, Monroe Moose Lodge #754 and chauffeuring friends and family members to doctor appointments. She bowled at Leisure Lanes for over 30 years and was an avid walker. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church.

As a sports fan, she looked forward to the start of the Packer season, as well as Badger football, basketball and volleyball and Brewers baseball and watched with abundant enthusiasm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doral, her mother, Irene (Duchow) Kohl, sister, Donna Rae Kohl, brother, Steven (Sonya) Kohl, sister, Sherry (Dennis) Bachim, sister, Diane Isely, brother-in-law, Harry Henning, and father, Forrest Kohl.

Memorial Services will be held on October 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at the SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, Monroe. A memorial luncheon will follow at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, October 24 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Continued Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
