DARLINGTON - Two Shullsburg men face criminal charges of disposing of methamphetamine waste after Lafayette County Sheriff's deputies investigated a fire that had been started along a ditch in Monticello Township.
Deputies found Troy S. Glasgow, 32, and Gregg A. Marcotte, 34, both of Shullsburg, at the fire scene near East Charles Mound Road and Wisconsin Lane at about 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19.
Both are currently being held in Lafayette County Jail pending a court appearance. Disposal of methamphetamine waste is a class H felony with penalties of fines up to $10,000 or imprisonment up to six years or both.
Glasgow has been previously found guilty of possession of methamphetamine or precursor to methamphetamine in both Grant and Lafayette counties, according to online court records.
The detectives were alerted to the alleged offense by a citizen.
