DARLINGTON — A South Wayne man with four convictions of drunken driving was arrested again for the same offense Wednesday night, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Randall K. Everson, 53, faces a fifth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated, a felony. He was arrested after deputies responded to a call at 10:06 p.m. from a neighbor reporting a suspicious vehicle in the area of Tornow Road, Town of Wayne.
The neighbor reported seeing a vehicle for the past few days being driven slowly around the area and parked for long periods with someone inside, said Sheriff Reg Gill.
A deputy located the vehicle and reported observing Everson driving it.
Everson was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington for a blood draw to determine his blood-alcohol concentration, then jailed.
