MONROE - As Santa Claus makes last-minute preparations for his annual epic journey, The Monroe Times presents the final Letters to Santa on Page B4 of today's edition.
Every year, the Times invites area children to send their letters to Santa Claus to the newspaper office. These letters are published, just as the children write them, for the enjoyment of readers, and then forwarded on to the North Pole for inclusion on Santa's master list. Letters have been published each day since Wednesday.
Six children were randomly selected from all letter-writers to receive $25 in Monroe Money, to be used at participating businesses. The gift certificates will be mailed to children at their home address.
The Letters to Santa winners are:
Molly Olson, second grade, Monticello
Noah Lisser, first grade, Albany
Molly Edler, third grade, Black Hawk
Makaylah Curran, kindergarten, Northside Elementary, Monroe
Andrew Coulthard, second grade, Parkside Elementary, Monroe
Zacharay Bohan, second grade, Brodhead
