TOWN OF AVON — An Orfordville woman is dead after a Rock County accident that involved a handful of people on April 10.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 7:12 p.m. deputies responded to the intersection of West Skinner Road and South Moraity Road in the Town of Avon for a single vehicle crash with injuries. 

“Investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on W Skinner Rd when the vehicle exited the roadway and collided with a tree,” a Rock County Sheriff’s Office press release stated. “A 26 year old Orfordville woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. An adult male occupant and three juveniles occupants were transported to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash.”

The Orfordville Fire Department, Brodhead EMS, Brodhead Police, the Green County Sheriff’s Office, the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team assisted with the incident.

The name of the victim has not yet been released by the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
