ORANGEVILLE — A 41-year-old Orangeville man is facing felony drug possession charges following a police investigation.

On July 29, 2026, at approximately 1:04 a.m., members of the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit (CSU), assisted by the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of West High Street in Orangeville. The search warrant was obtained as the culmination of an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office CSU.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators recovered approximately 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 1 gram of suspected heroin, approximately 0.16 grams of suspected fentanyl, and other evidence consistent with the investigation.

Following a review of the investigation by a prosecutor with the Stephenson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Tyson L. Blum, 41, of Orangeville, was charged with the following offenses:

● Possession with Intent to Deliver More Than 5 but Less Than 15 Grams of Methamphetamine

● Possession of 5 but Less Than 15 Grams of Methamphetamine

● Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)

● Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin)

Blum was transported to the Stephenson County Jail. Following a detention hearing on the afternoon of July 29, he was released from custody with pretrial conditions.
