MONROE - The Monroe Youth in Government program is currently seeking nominations for youth to apply for youth seats on City of Monroe committees. Eligible youth must be in 9th, 10th or 11th grade in spring 2016 and either be a resident of the City of Monroe or be part of the Monroe School District. The Monroe Youth in Government program will give youth a forum to ask questions, speak their minds on community issues, and influence local decisions, empowering youth voices while fostering the development of confident, independent and motivated youth leaders.
