MONROE - Two well-known country music acts have been scheduled for the 2009 Green County Fair, which begins July 22.
Neal McCoy will play at the fair on Friday, July 24, and Blackhawk will perform Saturday, July 25, according to Jayme Butke, executive secretary of the Wisconsin Association of Fairs.
McCoy was selected Entertainer of the Year in 1998 and 1999 by TNN/Music City News and also won the TNN/Music City News Video of the Year award for his song "Tell Me Good-bye." He has released 10 albums since 1990.
He has three platinum albums and one gold album.
Blackhawk, featuring Henry Paul, Van Stephenson and Dave Robbins, released its first single "Good-bye Says It All" in 1993. The song reached number one and was followed up with the single, "Every Once in a While."
Ticket prices for the concerts haven't been determined, Green County Fair Board member Nate Hartwig said this morning. The board will meet next month and could decide on ticket prices at that time, he added.
