Mosher named Badger of the Year

NEW GLARUS - The Wisconsin Alumni Association Green County chapter recognized David Mosher as the 2012 Badger of the Year at its founder's day banquet Thursday, May 3.

Chapter president Kris Baumgartner cited Mosher's volunteer involvement in Green County as founder of Big Brothers and Big Sisters;, his service as president of the New Glarus Chamber, United Way and Kiwanis;, and his participation in the Monroe Clinic and Hospital Foundation, Green County YMCA and Union Presbyterian Church.

Scott Rankin, chair and associate professor, department of Food Science taught attendees how to select and enjoy artisanal cheeses. Master Cheesemakers Gary Grossen and Jeff Wideman talked about the uniqueness of various cheeses.

The chapter recognized the high senior recipients of scholarships to attend University of Wisconsin-Madison this fall.
