Monroe public library offers streaming video

MONROE — Monroe Public Library cardholders can now enjoy hundreds of free streaming videos with Kanopy. Many users rely on the library for entertainment in the form of DVDs and Blu-rays, and this streaming option provides another way to enjoy media at home.

Kanopy specializes in films from distributors like A24, Kino Lorber, PBS, and Criterion, providing a diverse collection of indie movies, documentaries, older favorites, and world cinema. Many of Kanopy’s videos are not available on any other streaming video platform, and the experience is easy-to-use and advertisement free.

Library users can download the Kanopy app or visit monroepubliclibrary.kanopy.com to create an account with their library card number, PIN, and an email address. Users can watch videos on the computer, phone, tablet, smart TV, and more popular streaming devices.
