MONROE - The Monroe Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, is now accepting grant applications.
The Monroe Fund offers competitive grants for charitable projects or programs that provide a direct benefit to the people of Monroe as defined by the Monroe school district boundary. Projects may include enhancement of parks and public spaces; historic and cultural preservation; youth activities and facilities; education; the arts; and health and human services.
Applications are accepted from non-profit organizations only. Requests from individuals for personal projects or needs are not allowed under the federal tax laws.
The application form is available online at www.cfsw.org. Applications must be submitted by using the online application process no later than 11:59 p.m. April 15. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Mailed, emailed and faxed applications will not be accepted.
Successful applicants will be notified of their award by mail. Grants will be presented at a reception in June, with the time and place announced at a future date. Grantees are required to use their grant within one year of the award.
