MONROE - The Monroe Fund is accepting applications for projects that serve the greater Monroe area.
Projects may include enhancement of parks and public spaces, historic and cultural preservation, youth activities and facilities, education, the arts, and health and human services. Applications are accepted from non-profit organizations only. Requests from individuals for personal projects or needs are not allowed under the federal tax laws.
Applications for the fund must be received by 4 p.m. Monday, April 15.
The fund is a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
To access the application forms for the fund, visit www.cfsw.org and click on the "Open Grant Applications" page.
The application, plus one copy, should be mailed to the Monroe Fund, P.O. Box 733, Monroe, WI 53566.
Successful applicants will be notified the end of May. Grantees must use their grant within one year of the award, which will be given at a reception Monday, June 10.
