MONROE - After an actual air temperature of -11 degrees and a windchill of -29 Sunday night, the rest of 2016 promises more seasonably pleasant temperatures.
Following a frigid morning, the high temperature is expected to hit 14 today, with a low of 10 degrees tonight.
Highs for the rest of the week are expected to be in the high 20s, and hit 32 on Friday. Christmas Eve is expected to reach a high of 29 while Christmas Day should hit 22.
The extended forecast shows the high temperatures will remain in the mid 20s through New Years Day.
Low temperatures will vary, but are expected to remain in the teens and 20s through Jan. 1.
