MONROE - A 19-year-old was thrown more than 160 feet from his motorcycle in a crash on the northside of Monroe Monday afternoon, Nov. 19.

Jordan A. Lickes, Monroe, was taken by Green County EMS to Monroe Clinic for treatment of his injuries, according to Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley.

Lickes was northbound on Wisconsin 69 when he collided with a tractor towing farm equipment across the highway at County DR.

The tractor operator, Darcy L. Williams, 56, South Wayne, was uninjured.

Lickes was ejected as his motorcycle got lodged in the farm equipment. He landed 163 feet from the crash.

The accident was still under investigation as of Monday afternoon. Kelley said speeding may have been a factor in the crash.

The Green County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
