LENA — The Lena Police Department announced the arrest of Jerry Jones, 75, of Lena, Illinois following an investigation involving child sexual abuse material.

As a result of the investigation, Jones was charged with Solicitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material and Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Jones was taken into custody on August 19 and transported to the Stephenson County Jail.

Because the investigation involves allegations concerning minors and remains an active criminal matter, no additional information regarding the identity of any alleged victim or the specific material involved will be released.

“The Lena Police Department remains committed to protecting children and investigating crimes involving the exploitation of minors,” said Brian Lamphere, Chief of Police.
