MONROE - A cow was killed Wednesday after a driver struck the animal in the W6800 block of Wisconsin 81, Town of Monroe.
Deputies were called to the scene at 11:07 p.m. after Nicholas A. Waelti, 26, Monroe, struck a black Angus cow while driving eastbound on Wis. 81.
Waelti reported pain after the crash but declined treatment for his injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
The cow was killed and was removed from the road.
