Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Thursday, Sept. 20:

•  Lynn R. Pendergrass, 44, Monroe, was uninjured in a tree vs. vehicle crash reported at 7:24 a.m. in the W2400 block of Wisconsin 59, Town of Decatur. She was eastbound when she crested a hill and ran over a tree that had fallen onto the road. The vehicle sustained functional undercarriage damage and was towed.

•  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 4:17 p.m. in the Town of Monroe. Shawna A. Fields, 39, Darlington, was westbound on Wis. 81 and attempting to turn south onto County N. Matthew S. Wylie, 31, Darlington, was stopped on County N, facing north, and attempted to turn west on to Wis. 81 when he collided with Fields’ vehicle. Fields’ vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. She was cited for operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance. His vehicle sustained minor damage and remained on scene. He was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to wear a seatbelt, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and failure to yield right of way. He was also arrested and jailed on a charge of possessing a stimulant drug and on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation warrant.

On Saturday, Sept. 22:

•  Lucas C. Patterson, 34, Monroe, and the adult passenger in his vehicle reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash reported at 7:07 a.m. in the N8700 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Patterson was southbound when he reportedly fell asleep while driving. The vehicle crossed the road into the east ditch, hit a traffic sign and went airborne over a driveway before coming to a rest in the ditch. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Patterson was cited for inattentive driving.

•  Billie R. Graff, 32, and her passenger Dale J. Graff Jr., 54, both of Monroe, were taken by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of injuries they sustained in a one-vehicle accident reported at 1:30 p.m. in the N4100 block of County N, Town of Monroe. Billie was northbound when she reportedly swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle hit a guardrail on the east side of the road, then went back across the road and hit a guard rail on the west side before coming to a rest on the west shoulder. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Billie was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

On Sunday, Sept. 23:

•  Dustin J. Olson, 28, Monroe, and his juvenile passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 11:52 a.m. in the N6600 block of Washington Road, Town of Washington. Olson was northbound when the right front tire malfunctioned. The vehicle hit a guardrail before coming to a rest. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Olson was cited for driving with a revoked license (fourth offense).


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Sept. 20:

•  Valerie L. Bryson, 33, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 6:34 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. Bryson’s 2014 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

•  William J. Corley, 60, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 7:49 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. Corley’s 2017 Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

•  Alyssa B. Tuescher, 16, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 11:36 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette. No injuries were reported. Tuescher’s 2015 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Friday, Sept. 21:

•  Cory L. Houtakker, 36, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 6:52 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton. No injuries were reported. Houtakker’s 2018 Subaru sustained moderate damage and was towed.

•  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 7:57 p.m. on County O, Town of Seymour. Stanley F. McLean, 39, Baxter, Minnesota, was northbound when he lost control of his 2015 Ford, went off the road and hit a bridge. The vehicle, owned by Northern Natural Gas, sustained severe damage and was towed.

On Saturday, Sept. 22:

•  No injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. cow crash at 7:43 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. Donald L. Erickson, 59, East Troy, was eastbound when he hit a cow that was blocking the lane of traffic. Erickson’s 2012 Nissan sustained severe damage and was towed. The Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS, Darlington, assisted on scene.
