MONROE — Officers and Green County EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 7:51 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2. Jamie L. M. Anderson, 28, Stoughton, pulled out from the stop sign at the eastbound off-ramp from Wis. 11 onto North 18th Avenue and into the path of a northbound vehicle on North 18th Avenue driven by Felicia L. Lean, 33, Albany. Lean and a passenger in her vehicle, Taylor M. Snider, 26, Monroe, reported injuries and were examined by EMS. Both declined transport and were taken by private vehicle to Monroe Clinic to seek treatment. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed. Anderson was cited for driving with a suspended license, no vehicle insurance and failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

●  Damage to a light pole on 10th Street at 16th Avenue was reported at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4. An investigation found Elaine J. Lancaster, 74, Monroe, was backing from a parking stall and hit the pole. The vehicle sustained severe rear-end damage. Lancaster was cited for failure to notify police of an accident.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Monday, Dec. 2:

●  A pickup truck vs. tree crash with injuries was reported at 10:36 a.m. in the N2200 block of Jeffrey Road, Town of Clarno. Austin C. Camron, 16, Monroe, was negotiating a curve when the truck left the road and collided with a tree. Camron and his three passengers, ages 15, 15 and 16, were transported from the scene for further evaluation of injuries. The Chevy Silverado pickup truck sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. Camron was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control and a graduated driver’s license violation. The Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS assisted deputies on scene.

●  A vehicle vs. bridge crash with no injuries was reported at 4:55 p.m. in the W5900 block of Iliff Road, Town of Monroe. A vehicle pulling a trailer, driven by John P. McKeel, 39, Wisconsin Rapids, was eastbound when it met a westbound vehicle pulling a hay trailer that took up the majority of the roadway. McKeel tried to pull over to avoid the vehicle, causing him to enter the south ditch and sideswipe a bridge. His vehicle was undamaged. His trailer sustained moderate damage and was later removed from the scene.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3:

●  Shannon Y. Menehan, 38, Albany, reported minor injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 3:48 p.m. in the W4700 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. She was eastbound when she lost control. Her vehicle went off the road and came to rest against a fence. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. The Juda Fire Department and Green County EMS assisted deputies on scene. Menehan was cited for not having vehicle insurance and failure to maintain control of a vehicle.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, Nov. 16:

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 11:04 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. Dakota J. McCallister, 19, Darlington, was eastbound when he lost control, causing his 2008 Toyota to exit the road on the south side and damage a road sign. The Toyota sustained moderate damage.

On Sunday, Nov. 17:

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 2:30 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. Joshua A. Cortez, 19, Darlington, lost control of the 2004 Ford, causing it to go off the road and come to rest in a yard. He was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to notify police of an accident. The Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Darlington police assisted deputies.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 3:55 p.m. on West Main Street in Shullsburg. Donna J. Shepherd, 68, Shullsburg, was parked when her 2019 Ram was backed into by a 2004 Chevrolet owned by Amy C. Lawson, 39, Scales Mound, Illinois. The vehicles were driven from the scene.

●  Minor injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 9:40 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. The male minor driver lost control of the 1998 Jeep, which entered the ditch. The Jeep sustained moderate damage and was towed. Southwest Health EMS, the Platteville Fire Department and the UW-Platteville Campus Police Department assisted a deputy on scene.

On Monday, Nov. 18:

●  Rusty P. Lynch, 40, Belmont, reported hitting a deer at 6:11 p.m. on Burr Oak Road, Town of Belmont. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.
