MONROE — On Aug. 2:
• No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash at 1:49 p.m. at 20th Avenue and 7th Street. Joseph M. Henning, 38, Monroe collided with a 19-year-old Monroe woman. Henning was cited for unsade backing and released pending court.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle hit-and-run accident at 11:18 p.m. in the 2100 block of 13th Street. A parked vehicle was hit and the second vehicle left the scene. Officers were able to follow and locate the second vehicle in the 2300 block of Haddinger Road. Joey M. Winters, 48, Monroe, was arrested and cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, first offense. Winters was also cited for hit-and-run to an unattended vehicle and was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance. Both vehicles sustained severe damaged and were towed.

MONROE — On Aug. 2:
• No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle accident at 2:11 p.m. in the N8800 block of Wis. 69 in New Glarus. Thomas J. Ott, 51, La Crosse, was southbound on Wis. 69 when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the west ditch. The vehicle came to rest over a creek. Ott was wearing his seat belt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene.
• One person was injured in a motorcycle vs. cow crash at 10:34 p.m. in the W7600 block of County B in the Town of Cadiz. Justin S. Helton, 24, Browntown, was westbound on County B when his vehicle struck a cow in the roadway. Helton was wearing a helmet and sustained injuries in the crash, but was not transported from the scene by EMS. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Helton. The cow died. Helton was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and for motorcycle instructional permit violation for operating a motorcycle in the hours of darkness without a qualified person.
On Aug. 3:
• One person was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:37 a.m. in the W400 block of Stateline Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Mark S. Elliott, 66, Oregon, was traveling northbound in Illinois on Best Road and failed to stop at a stop sign on Stateline Road. Elliott entered the ditch in Green County and struck a power pole. Elliott was wearing a seat belt and the airbags deployed. He was transported to Monroe Clinic Emergency Room by Brodhead EMS. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene. Brodhead Fire assisted. The power pole was damaged and Alliant Energy responded.
• One person was injured in a motorcycle crash at 12:16 p.m. at the intersection of County F and Decatur Albany Road. David W. Smith, 48, Racine, was southbound on County F when his motorcycle entered the west shoulder, west ditch, struck an embankment and went airborne. The motorcycle came to rest in the ditch. Smith was transported to Monroe Clinic Emergency Room and the motorcycle was towed. Albany Police, Albany EMS and Albany Fire assisted.
• No one was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at 2:15 p.m. in the N3500 block of Wis. 59. Ciara H. Kaderly, 18, Albany, drifted across the centerline and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to enter the gravel shoulder and into a ditch where it rolled over. Kaderly reported she was wearing her seatbelt and the airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene.
On Aug. 3:
n No one was injured in a single vehicle crash at 4:07 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street in Monticello. John E. Kummer, 87, Monticello, was performing a backing maneuver into a parking spot when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, causing his vehicle to drive over the curb into a garbage can.
Kummer and his passenger both reported wearing their seat belts. The airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained damage but was driven from the scene.
Kummer was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and released pending a court appearance.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Wis. 11 and Richland Road in the Town of Jefferson. Ricky R. Conner, 52, Forest City, North Carolina, was eastbound on Wis. 11 when he attempted to make a right turn onto Richland Road.
A second vehicle driven by Christy C. Willis, 35, Fletcher, North Carolina, struck Conner’s vehicle. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts. The airbags did not deploy. Both vehicles sustained damaged and were driven from the scene.
