Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 6th Street and 8th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by John V. Utterback, 60, Monticello, hit a vehicle driven by Cyril L. Waelti, 52, Monroe. Utterback was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. The vehicles received moderate damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about noon Tuesday in the N1700 block of Mount Hope Road in spring Grove township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Trevor S. Schumacher, 18, Brodhead, left the road, hit a bridge sign and a bridge before going into a creek. He was taken to a Janesville hospital for injuries.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Argyle interchange in Monroe township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Laura J. Hanson, 47, Argyle, left the road, went across the median and hit a vehicle driven by Debra J. Kesler, 54, Monroe. The vehicles received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday on County G in Fayette township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by William J. Webb, 44, Mineral Point, failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a sign. The vehicle received minor damage.

A vehicle driven by Robert E. Suchomel, 85, Shullsburg, collided with a deer at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on County O in Shullsburg township.
