MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 20th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Heather K. Herman, 33, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Brooke A. McBain, 17, Monroe. Christine J. Lawrence, 36, Monroe, a passenger in the Herman vehicle, was transported by Green County EMS to the hospital for minor injuries sustained in the accident. Herman was cited for driving while suspended, knowingly driving while suspended causing injuries and failure to yield the right of way from a yield sign.

DARLINGTON - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on County G near Jericho Road in the Town of Belmont. Deputies report Lori A. Tuescher, 48, Darlington, was northbound and attempting to slow for a sharp left corner. The vehicle slid on the slippery road and struck a large snow bank on the north side of the intersection. The vehicle received damaged and was towed from the scene. Belmont Fire Department, Belmont Ambulance and Lafayette County Highway Department assisted at the scene.
