BELLEVILLE - Robin Lynn Stoikes, age 58, passed away with family by her side on Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home due to Glioblastoma. She was born in Monroe on June 11, 1959 to her parents Robert and Virginia (Maddrell) Lovelace. Robin grew up in Woodford, WI and graduated from Blackhawk High School. She then continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville earning degrees in Sociology and Human Resource Management. Robin married Timothy Stoikes in 1989, and the couple made their home in the Belleville area where they raised their two sons. She worked in human resources for the State of Wisconsin for many years, including the Department of Corrections, Department of Revenue, and the Department of Work Force Development. Robin loved to garden, ride horses, read, and travel. Her most favorite times were those spent with her family and friends. Robin's quick wit will be greatly missed.
Robin is survived by her husband Timothy, sons Eric and Andrew, father and step-mother Robert and Joan Lovelace, sister Penny (Eric) Brummel, brothers Scott (Penny) Lovelace and Tracy (Jason Sword) Lovelace. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Janet Stoikes, sisters-in-law Cathy Halpin and Julie (Doug) Sutter, brother-in-law Jeff (Jane) Stoikes and Jim (Judy) Stoikes, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Lovelace, father-in-law Arnold Stoikes, brother-in-law Robert Halpin, and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Kenneth L. Schaub officiating. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
The family would like to thank the staff of the UW Carbone Cancer Center for the gift of time and the team from Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. that so compassionately cared for Robin and her family, along with the friends and family who have offered so much love and support over the past 18 months.
