Robert D. Brugger, age 82 of rural Monroe, died on Friday, August 29, 2008, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home. He was born on May 3, 1926 in Lafayette County, the son of Casper and Clara (Berg) Brugger. Robert farmed, the greater part of his life in Monroe Township, Green County.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Gladys Brugger of rural Monroe and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Patricia Erb and a brother, Charles Brugger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Lowell Stuessy, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established in Robert's memory.
