MONROE - Amber L. Bell, 20, Monroe, was arrested on 17 misdemeanor counts of theft at 3:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. She allegedly stole about $800 from Walmart over a period of time while employed there. She was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• A suspicious person was reported at 7:34 a.m. on Whaley Court in Benton.

• Livestock in the road on County Z in the Town of Darlington were reported 7:57 a.m.

• A deputy responded at 9:18 a.m. to a report of a civil dispute on Swanson Road in the Town of Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 12:30 p.m. to a 911 hang-up call on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Darlington.

• Hazardous materials in the roadway on Bean Street Road in Benton were reported at 1:24 p.m.

• Eric J. Husemann, 50, Shullsburg, was taken into custody on two warrants at 6:56 p.m. on County I in the Town of New Diggings. He was jailed.

• A deputy took a report of lost/stolen property on Hazel Street in Belmont at 8:02 p.m.

• A suspicious person was reported at 11:40 p.m. on West Mound View Avenue in Belmont.
