New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On April 16:

♦ A juvenile was cited at 3:24 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street for failing to obey a crossing guard.

On April 17:

♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 9:23 p.m. in the 1000 block of Railroad Street. Police responded and made contact with the complainants. The subjects left the area, and no one was located nor did the police receive a complaint from any victim(s).

On April 18:

♦ A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 11:23 a.m. to the 200 block of Cow Path Lane. There was no damage to the vehicle.

♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 12:45 p.m. in the W5900 block of County H with a semi stuck in the road. The vehicle was removed.

♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 12:55 p.m. in the W5900 block of County H with a passenger car stuck in the road. The vehicle was removed.

♦ A missing juvenile was reported at 1:30 p.m. The juvenile was later located.

♦ Keelan P. Seaton, 19, Madison, was cited for operating a motor vehicle while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 4:46 p.m. after stopping the vehicle on Wis. 69 at County W for a registration violation.

On April 19:

♦ Police took part in and assisted with the DARE graduation at 2 p.m. at the New Glarus Middle School.

♦ A set of keys was turned in to police at 6:15 p.m. There was an address on the keys and the keys were turned over to the owner.

♦ Police checked on a motor home at 8:03 p.m. in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue. It was learned the vehicle ran out of gas. It was removed from the scene after some gas was obtained for the vehicle.

On April 20:

♦ Police responded for a welfare check at 8:58 a.m. for a student who left the school. The juvenile was located and everything was fine as a family member was with them.

♦ A disorderly conduct complaint was reported at 5:27 p.m. of juveniles hanging from the basketball hoops and using profanity at the basketball court in Village Park. Police made contact with a large group of juveniles and advised them that if this behavior continues that they would be asked to leave the park and not allowed to come back.

♦ Police located juveniles playing under and alongside the bridge at 6:05 p.m. in the area of Wis. 69 and County W. The juveniles were asked to move along for their safety.

♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with serving a restraining order at 6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

♦ Vandalism was reported at 7:09 p.m. in the 700 block of 1st Street. Someone had placed or thrown rocks in the road, grass and driveways to some residences. No actual damage was found.

On April 21:

♦ A missing juvenile was reported at 5:57 p.m. after going to the village park and then wasn't seen for six hours. The juvenile was located sometime later in the village. The juvenile was found to be OK.

On April 22:

♦ A dead animal in the roadway was reported at 10:58 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. This information was passed along to the Public Works Department for removal.

♦ A deputy unlocked a vehicle at 1:43 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.

♦ A cat was found at 2:51 p.m. in the 600 block of 6th Avenue. The cat was turned over to the Green County Humane Society by a private citizen.

♦ Police responded to a welfare check at 3:08 p.m. for a citizen at the corner of 6th Avenue and 2nd Street. Arrangements were made for a friend from Hayward to come to New Glarus and take the subject back to Hayward.

♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a brush fire at 4:46 p.m. in the W7200 block of Wis. 39.

On April 23:

♦ Suspicious activity was reported at 12:31 a.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle occupants were playing an Internet game that required them to check into different locations. Everything was OK.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On April 23:

♦ Austin J. Bates, 20, Monroe, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. in the 600 block of 20th Avenue. Bates was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (1st offense), bail jumping due to a violation of court ordered bail conditions and also a probation violation. Bates was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

♦ Courtney J. Jackson, 21, Monroe, was arrested for violation of a restraining order at 7:24 p.m. April 24 in the 1000 block of 7th Avenue. The violation took place a few hours before the arrest. Prohibited contact had been made in violation of the order, so Jackson was charged with a restraining order violation and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.



Albany Police

ALBANY - Peggy L. Miller, 57, Albany, was arrested for disorderly conduct April 22.
