Mildred F. Schrenk age 85 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home. Mildred was born August 23, 1927 in Allen County, Indiana, the daughter of Edward and Norah (Thiele) Linnemeier. She married Charles J. "Dutch" Schrenk on December 22, 1946 in Indiana. They lived in Livingston, WI before moving to Monroe in 1972. Mildred and Dutch owned and operated Dutch's Inn Supper Club in Monroe until retiring in 1989. Mildred was a member of Mt. Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monroe.

She is survived by three sons, Lorren, Larry (Debbie), and Leon (Tetyana) Schrenk; a daughter-in-law, Velma Schrenk of Monroe; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Wilmer) Rodenbeck; and two sister-in-laws, LaVerne and Ruth Linnemeier, all of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, in 2010; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Schrenk; a son, Lenny Schrenk; a grandson in infancy; three brothers, Louis, Alvin, and Herman Linnemeier; and a sister, Hilda Kammeier.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Pastor Donald Swartz officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel-Hawthorne Cemetery, Clarno Township. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Monroe Clinic Hospice or Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mildred's name.
