Misdemeanors

●  Kaitlyn May Rynes, 23, Brooklyn, pleaded no contest May 18 to a charge of resisting or obstructing an officer, downgraded from a misdemeanor to a citation, and was fined. She owes the court $323.50. The case stems from a September 2019 arrest by the Brooklyn Police Department.

●  Travis Anthony Vincent, 30, Monroe, had his deferred prosecution agreement revoked May 18 on misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and criminal damage to property. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and owes over $1,000 in court and probation fees.

●  Robert James Olson, 26, Juneau, had his probation revoked in February on misdemeanor convictions of criminal damage to property, trespassing and retail theft and was sentenced June 3 to one year in prison and one year on extended supervision. Conditions of his supervision include payment of restitution. He owes $1,404 in a money judgement.

●  Andrew Scott Shearer, 38, Brodhead, had his probation revoked in May on misdemeanor convictions of bail jumping and was sentenced June 5 to six months in jail, with the ability to serve his sentence in Rock County with Huber work release or on electronic monitoring as long as he remains alcohol and controlled substance-free. He owes the court $636.

●  Tanner Jo Stephan, 20, Albany, pleaded no contest June 18 to misdemeanor charges of battery and threatening via computer message to injure or harm, stemming from incidents in November. He was sentenced to 15 months on probation with conditions including anger management counseling. His court assessments total $443.

●  Brandon Scott Richardson, 31, Monroe, pleaded guilty June 18 to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, stemming from a Nov. 8 disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and ordered to pay court costs.

●  John Ray Helmeid, 56, Brodhead, pleaded no contest June 24 to a misdemeanor charge of taking and driving a vehicle without consent and then abandoning the vehicle on Dec. 7 in Brodhead. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail. His court assessments total $443.

●  Kathleen Kay Gierhart, 26, Monticello, pleaded no contest and entered a one-year deferred prosecution agreement June 24 on two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident Nov. 17. The charges will be fully dismissed if she complies with conditions of the agreement, including no drinking.

●  Kyle Richard Johnson, 33, Brodhead, pleaded no contest June 24 to a misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer and was fined. His court assessments total $579. The case stems from an incident Oct. 27. A Monroe Police Department report indicates officers responded at 2:20 a.m. to assist a tavern in the 1300 block of 17th Street with a highly intoxicated patron, Johnson, and while officers attempted to locate a responsible person to take him, he became disorderly and resisted police attempts to take him into custody.

●  Deaundre Miguel Jones, 43, Chicago, pleaded guilty July 1 to two domestic abuse-related charges of disorderly conduct, one downgraded from a felony charge of strangulation/suffocation, stemming from a May 30, 2019 disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of 6th Avenue in New Glarus. He was sentenced to one year on probation. He owes over $550 in court assessments.

●  Autumn Marie Love Lopez, 29, Monroe, pleaded no contest July 16 to three misdemeanor counts of theft as a party to a crime. She was sentenced to two years on probation. Her court assessments total $2,806.33, which includes $1,477.33 in restitution owed with her co-defendant, Amy Merino (Rodriguez), whose case is still pending. The cases stems from an investigation into shoplifting at the Monroe Walmart in 2017. Court documents indicate Lopez worked at the store and voided out purchases Merino made at a self-checkout register.

●  Adrianna M. Rock, 30, Freeport, pleaded no contest July 23 to a misdemeanor charge of retail theft and was fined. She owes $1,093. The case stems from an investigation into retail theft at the Monroe Walmart on Dec. 16.

●  Johnathan H. Jackson, 26, Madison, pleaded no contest July 23 to misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and resisting or obstructing an officer, with a related domestic abuse charge of misdemeanor domestic abuse dismissed, all stemming from an incident Aug. 21, 2018. He was sentenced to one year on probation and is eligible to have the case expunged under a state law that grants leniency to young offenders. His court assessments total $886.

●  Trent William Gerber, 30, Brodhead, pleaded no contest July 27 to a citation of disorderly conduct, downgraded from a misdemeanor. He owes $330.50. He also entered an 18-month deferred prosecution agreement on a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping. A charge of battery was dismissed. The case stems from an incident Oct. 16 in Brodhead.
