Leona M. Friedrichs, age 76, of Janesville, formerly of Monroe, died on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Our House Memory Care in Janesville. She was born on May 16, 1937 in Monroe, WI; the daughter of Lester and Nellie (Kundert) Johnson. She graduated from Monroe High School and received her associate degree in Accounting from Blackhawk Technical College, at age 48. Leona married Dalen Friedrichs on October 16, 1956 in Monroe. She worked for St. Clare Hospital then Doorman Cheese factory, and last for Lucas Oil. She formerly was a member at Grace Lutheran Church, Monroe, Janesville quilting club, and a member of Women of the Moose, Chapter #599.

She is survived by her husband, Dalen, of Janesville; a son, David (Laura) Friedrichs of Madison; 2 daughters: Anne (George) Stokes of Las Vegas, NV and Sarah (David) Boatman of McKinney, TX; 4 grandchildren: Colin and Harper Friedrichs and Eric and Leah Boatman. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers: Daryl, Donnie and Al Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 28, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Reverend John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held Friday, from 10:00 am, until the time of service, at the church.
