BRODHEAD - Larry D. Udelhoven, age 68, of Brodhead, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, WI. He was born on May 8, 1940 in Lancaster, WI, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Hupenbecker) Udelhoven. He married Barbara Cairy on July 8, 1960. She passed away on October 27, 1977. He then married Joyce Hoesly Boyd on July 26, 1996 in Brodhead.
Larry moved from Union Grove, WI to Brodhead in 1974. He was the Brodhead High School Industrial Arts teacher and Transportation Director until retiring in 1998. He was an avid Packer and Brodhead High School fan and loved his grandchildren. Larry was also a member of the National Guard 32nd Division.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, Brodhead; a daughter, Jodie (Keith) Jacobson, Oregon, WI; a sister, Arlys (Melvin) Case, Lancaster, WI; two grandchildren, Hannah and Mallory Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Barb, and a daughter, Kelly, in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with Rev. Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, WI. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be established.
