Helen B. Cotherman, age 78, of Monroe, died on Monday, January 1, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

She was born on January 9, 1939 in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Bonnie (Gilbertson) Johnson Sr. She attended Bainbridge and Blanchardville Schools.

She worked at St. Clare Hospital, Oaktron Industries, and retiring from Advance Transformer after 28 years.

She was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed traveling, photography, playing euchre and sending out cards for Birthdays and Anniversaries. She especially enjoyed baking; making lefse and cookies at Christmas time and sharing her baked goods with others. But her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Michael (Connie) Pederson of Argyle, Darlene Voelkli (Lester Grossen) of Monroe, Brian (Jill) Pederson of Argyle, and Betty (Rudy) Gerber of New Glarus; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Colleen (Lester) Pederson of Monroe, Marilyn (Stanley) Knutson of Mt. Horeb, Barbara (Robert) Kittleson of Stoughton, brothers, David (Debra) Johnson of Blanchardville, Jeffrey (Gay) Johnson of Mt. Horeb, Marvin Johnson Madison, and Gerald Johnson of Dodgeville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bonnie Johnson; husband, Myron Pederson; and brothers, Robert and Harold Johnson Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Brubakken officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville, at a later date.

Visitation will be Saturday January 6th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
