A story published in the Friday, March 28 edition of The Monroe Times about Green County EMS' fundraising contained several errors. Funding information was incorrectly reported regarding the tearing down of The Monroe Lumber Company. The Wisconsin Cheese Group would have to make up the cost, but discussions have only been preliminary. Dan Nufer, the EMS chief, was incorrectly paraphrased about the size and planning of the current EMS building. Nufer said no one could have envisioned the volume of calls to go up as much as they have, requiring a larger building. Nufer said Green County EMS will not be asking for a two-story building, as was incorrectly reported, but is working with the city to vacate the south end of 19th Street to allow more room for a building.
