Green County Misdemeanors

On Monday, March 17:

• Tanya C. Gruter, 21, Belleville, entered a plea of not guilty and had a signature bond of $300 set with additional conditions that she not consume any controlled substance or possess any drug paraphernalia. Gruter was charged with a forfeiture misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia on Jan. 19. She has a pre-trial conference on May 6.

• Tanya C. Gruter, 21, Belleville, entered a plea of not guilty and had a signature bond of $750 set with additional conditions that she not consume any intoxicants or enter bars or liquor stores. She faces two counts of forfeiture misdemeanors for OWI and operating with a prohibited alcohol content, both second offenses. She was charged on Jan. 19 after sheriff's deputies found her vehicle in a ditch in the W5200 block of Airport Road, New Glarus Township. She has a pre-trial conference on May 6.

• Chelsea R. Knell, 24, Monroe, had a signature bond of $750 set with additional conditions that she not have any contact with the alleged victim or the bar located in the W5000 block of County KK. Knell was charged with one count of Class A Misdemeanor battery, stemming from an incident that occurred on Jan. 31. Court records indicate she allegedly got into a fight with another woman at a bar and fled the scene before police arrived. She has a pre-trial conference on May 6.

On Wednesday, March 19:

• Samantha E. Murray, 34, Brodhead, was found guilty due to a no contest plea for misdemeanor bail jumping. Murray had counts of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and another count of bail jumping dismissed. She paid the court $443 and will be on probation for one year. Murray was on bail for a previous charge of possessing five grams of marijuana and a one-hitter pipe on July 19.

• Samantha E. Murray, 34, Brodhead, had charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia dismissed. Murray was accused of possessing five grams of marijuana and a one-hitter pipe on July 19. These charges have been dismissed.



Lafayette County

Felonies

On Monday, March 17:

• Alissa G. Goebel, did not appear for her initial appearance and had a body-only arrest warrant issued. Goebel was charged with stealing a vehicle without the consent of the owner, a Class H Felony, stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 24. If convicted for the maximum penalty, she could face fines up to $10,000 or six years imprisonment or both.

• Roy Brian Waugh Jr. had a signature bond of $2,500 set with additional conditions that he contact the sex offender registry within 48 hours. Waugh Jr. had a warrant issued for his arrest on March 7 because he had failed to register as a sex offender by the deadline of Dec. 5. He has a preliminary hearing set for April 22.



Misdemeanors

On Monday, March 17:

• Sara L. Bevins, 22, South Wayne, had a signature bond of $1,000 set for a charge of one count of disorderly conduct a Class B Misdemeanor. If convicted for the maximum penalty she could face up to a $1,000 fine or 90 days imprisonment or both. Bevins was charged with battery stemming from an incident that occurred on Jan. 8. She has an adjourned initial appearance on April 7.

• Brad A. Scott, 35, Gratiot, had a signature bond of $2,500 set with additional conditions that he have no violent or abusive contact with the alleged victim. Scott was charged with three counts of battery and theft, both Class A midemeanors, and one count of disorderly conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that occurred on Jan. 3. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Scott could face up to $21,000 in fines or one year imprisonment or both. He has an adjourned initial appearance set for March 24.

• Anthony L. Mau, 39, Shullsburg, entered a plea of not guilty to charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that occurred on Nov. 10. If convicted for the maximum penalty he could face up to $1,000 in fines or 90 days in jail or both. No court date was set.
