Felonies


• Derrick Prescott Nipple, 24, Belleville, was charged July 8 with a Class H felony count of using a different name as a registered sex offender. Court records indicate he identified himself as Xander Aiden Lee on Facebook after getting out of prison in October 2012, as a way to get back in touch with friends. His initial appearance is July 22.

• Jeffrey Thomas Neubauer, 22, Monroe, was charged July 9 with a Class H felony count of violating sex offender registry rules. Court records indicate that between August and November 2012 he failed to notify the Department of Corrections of an address change and a change in employment. His initial appearance is July 15.



Misdemeanors

• Braxton D. Walton, 22, Monroe, pleaded no contest July 8 and was granted a one-year deferred prosecution on a Class A misdemeanor charge of writing a worthless check in March 2012 in the amount of $960.03 to Fuzzy's Audio and Visual, 141 W. 7th St., Monroe, for a television. He is ordered to pay $1,198.03 in court costs and restitution, attend quarterly monitoring conferences and not open a checking account without notifying the District Attorney's office.

• John G. Waelchli, 45, Monticello, pleaded guilty July 9 to misdemeanor bail jumping and a fourth offense of driving while intoxicated, stemming from a traffic stop April 4 in Albany. Court records indicate he was driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.204 percent and violated bond conditions in doing so. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years of probation. His driver's license is revoked 30 months. He owes $2,425 in fines and fees.

• Angela Lynn Roska, 42, Monticello, was granted a one-year deferred prosecution July 9 on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and battery stemming from a dispute with a man at a home on Marshall Bluff Road in Exeter Township Nov. 6. The charges will be fully dismissed pending the one-year agreement, which stipulates she must continue counseling and attend quarterly monitoring conferences.

• Jason M. Douglas, 31, Brodhead, was charged July 5 with misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim and bail jumping, stemming from an incident May 26 in an apartment in the 200 block of 12th Street in Monroe. Court records indicate he yelled at a woman, grabbed up one of her children and refused to give the child back, refused to leave the home and grabbed her cellphone when she said she was going to call the police. He pleaded not guilty to all charges July 9 and has a pre-trial conference Aug. 20.
