Brian J. "Buka" Bennett
Brian J. "Buka" Bennett, age 41 of rural Brooklyn, Wisconsin, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 19, 1969 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Clinton and Linda (Barker) Bennett. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1987 and attended Blackhawk Tech & MATC.
Brian married Amber L. Vickers on October 17, 1992 in Monroe. He was a welder and manufacturing supervisor at Stoughton Trailers in Evansville and an auto sales representative in Evansville for most of his career. Brian was a member of the Evansville Congregational United Church of Christ. He enjoyed watching football, professional bull riding, and NASCAR and was an avid Matt Kenseth fan.
Brian will be remembered as a loving father, brother, husband, and friend. His children meant the world to him.
Surviving are his wife, Amber L. Bennett; daughter, Brooke L. Bennett; son, Brett R. Bennett, all of rural Brooklyn; brothers, Brad (Catherine) Bennett of Blanchardville and Bruce Bennett of Fitchburg; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Roger & Sherry Vickers of South Wayne; brother-in-law, Brandon (Jennifer) Vickers of Richfield, MN; and many other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 with services at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive & 18th Avenue in Monroe. A fellowship luncheon will be held following the services at Monroe Bible Church, 2613 8th Ave., Monroe. A private burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund is being established in Brian's memory.
