FREEPORT - Betty M. Cannova, 82, of Freeport, died April 14, 2008 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born August 26, 1925 in Jo Daviess Co., the daughter of Chester and Beulah (Clayton) Schultz.
She married Anthony J. Cannova on June 29, 1946 in Florida. He died on January 3, 1986.
Mrs. Cannova graduated from Warren High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She enjoyed family, friends, music and dancing.
She is survived by her son, Barry Cannova of Juda, WI.; two daughters, Margaret (Fritz) Siegenthaler of Monticello, WI and Gina (Jackie Robinson) Cannova of Freeport; one brother, John (Nancy) Schultz of Gratiot, WI; one sister, Ann (Donald) Kraft of Freeport; also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Father Manuel "Manny" Recera, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established in her name.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
