Juda Fire

JUDA — A basement fire with flames showing was reported at a Washington Street residence at about 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived. It was caused by an electrical malfunction in the furnace and extinguished when a resident shut off gas to the furnace. Fire damage was limited to the furnace. Residents evacuated due to smoke damage in the rest of the house. No one was hurt. Firefighters were on scene about 30 minutes.
