MONROE - A Brodhead man hospitalized after a serious car accident on Wisconsin 11 on Jan. 4 died Sunday from his injuries.

Michael Alan Reavis, 50, was one of three people injured after a two-vehicle head-on collision that closed part of Wis. 11 for four hours, the Green County Sheriff's Department said in a news release Monday.

Reavis and his driver, Craig L. Wendelschafer, 53, Milton, suffered critical injuries and were transported via MedFlight to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

Wendelschafer still is in the hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, Holly L. Griffin, 42, Janesville, was treated for minor injuries and released Jan. 4 from Mercy Hospital in Janesville.

The accident is now Green County's first fatal crash of 2016.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. No witnesses of the accident have yet come forward.
