Bloody Lake Rendezvous Is May 4
The 32nd annual Bloody Lake Rendezvous is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at Black Hawk Memorial Park near Woodford. The pre-1840s encampment will showcase life 200 years ago. The event will hold shooting competitions, hawk and knife throwing, archery contest, battlefield narratives, kids games and food vendors and traders. The cost is $2 and children 12 and under and military service members will get in free. The fee will go towards preserving the park.
