The Green County Board of Supervisors will start its 2024 budget hearing, an annual process at 5:30 p.m. in the downtown courthouse. Each department will give an overview over two scheduled sessions, with the other slated for 8 a.m. Sept. 22.

The Green County Veterans Service committee will meet at 1 p.m., at the Veterans Service office. Agenda items include an update on CVSO operations.

The Green County Tourism Committee will meet at 11 a.m. in the downtown courthouse. Agenda items include discussion of a trail hotline number.

The Green County Finance and Accounting Committee will meet at 5 p.m. in the downtown courthouse. Agenda items include discussion of a grant for public health vending machines.

The Green County Highway Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at the Highway Department. Agenda items include a renew or increase of the County wheel tax.

The Lafayette County Commission on Aging will meet at 1 p.m. at 15701 County Road K, Suite 2. Agenda items include discussion and possible action on the threeyear aging plan.

The Lafayette County Veteran Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the Veteran/Econ Development Office. Agenda items include the new budget.

The School District of Monroe Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. in the Bauer Education Center. Agenda items include the approval of staff hiring and an update on the high school building project.

Tuesday, September 12

The Green County Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m. in the sheriff’s department training office. Agenda items include what review of 2024 budget.

The Green County Human Services Board will meet at 2 p.m. in the Government Services Building. Agenda items

include consideration of a coordinated transit plan.

The Green County Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. in the downtown courthouse. Agenda items include numerous measures to create and eliminate county positions.

Wednesday, September 13

The Audit Subcommittee of the Green County Human Services Board will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the government services building. Agenda items include a closed session matter.

The Green County Health Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the Government Services Building. Agenda items include the proposed 2024 budget.

The Black Hawk School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the district offices. The agenda is not yet available.

Thursday, September 14

The Green County Solid Waste Management Board will meet at 3 p.m. at W2002 County Highway SS.

The Green County Auditing, Bond and Claims Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the downtown courthouse. Agenda items include a closed-session matter.

The Green County Pleasant View Nursing Home Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Pleasant View conference room. Agenda items include discussion related to the dementia stabilization unit.

Wednesday, September 20

The Green County Board of Adjustment will meet at 7 p.m. in the county courthouse. Agenda items include a virtual site visit and a public hearing on an application for conditional use permit.
