Tell Us The Lengths You Go To
You don't have to build a replica of Lambeau Field in your front yard to prove you're a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
But we know that Packers fans have a lot of pride, and usually show it. We'd like to show Monroe Times readers how much fans love their Packers. Send us your pictures and stories of how you celebrate the Green and Gold - whether it's a yard display, a room decoration, a car detail or something else.

MONROE - All that's missing are the brats and the beer.
Drive by 826 10th St. and you can catch a glimpse of the most venerated, most sacred spots in all of Packerland: Lambeau Field.
The miniature version Randy Pink created in his front yard, startlingly realistic considering it's crafted from snow and popsicle sticks, also offers a glimpse into the great lengths Packer fans will go to show their team pride.
Pink, a lifelong Packers fan, got the idea to craft a miniature Lambeau Field in his front yard last Saturday.
"We were just killing time before the game," Pink said of the project his 21-year-old son Jeremy, home visiting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, helped him with.
The project evolved after Pink built a replica of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. "That didn't work out so well. The football kept falling off," he said.
So Pink started working on a stadium. Jeremy came outside to help and the project started to, well, snowball.
"It got more and more detailed," Pink said.
His wife Marion ("She's originally from San Diego, but she's as big a Packer fan as I am now") even helped out, obtaining small lights used for crafts for stadium lights.
It took the better part of Saturday to complete.
"I started at about 9 a.m. and was still trying to tie things up in the first quarter (of the Packers' playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks)," he said.
The project takes some ongoing maintenance. Pink said he's found out that spray paint doesn't adhere well to snow and ice, so he has to respray his creation every day.
And there had to be a little renovation, just like at the real Lambeau Field. After a little dusting of snow earlier this week, "I got the hare-brained idea to get the leaf blower out," he laughed. He had to fix the fallen goal posts after that little mishap.
The replica has caused something of a sensation with passing motorists. Pink said there will be two or three cars on the street at a time in front of his house - enough to make him feel as if he's hosting a perpetual yard sale.
For this week's snows, Pink planned to cover the stadium with a tarp to protect it. He knows eventually he'll have to let mini Lambeau go, but he's not quite ready yet.
"But it's gotta last though the weekend," he said. The Packers host the New York Giants in Sunday's NFC Championship game, with a Super Bowl berth at stake.
He already has plans to update the scoreboard, which currently reads "Packers 42, Seahawks 20," the score from last Saturday's game.
"This weekend, after we beat the Giants, that will be changed," he said.
Some fans prefer a more permanent tribute to the Pack. But few go so far as Tim Wallace, who literally decorated his basement rec room from floor to ceiling in the Green and Gold.
He's got a Packer pool table, walls and trim painted in green and gold and Green Bay Packer carpeting - wall-to-wall.
That carpeting even earned a photo of Wallace's room a spot on the Packers.com site, under the Pro Shop section where Packer items are sold, for a contest the site offered.
For Wallace, investing in the unusual floor treatment isn't really so unusual.
"I love the Packers," he said.
It's a family affair.
"My dad always watched the Packers. I grew up with them," he said.
And wife Sherri approves of the decor, as she too loves Green Bay.
"In fact she's wearing a Packer sweatshirt right now," he said.
