BLANCHARDVILLE — Yellowstone Lake State Park, 8495 Lake Road, Blanchardville, has announced its events for the month of August.
Monarch Butterflies and Other Insect Stories: Aug. 17 at 7 p.m.
Yellowstone Lake State Park will host a program where you can learn about butterflies and other insects on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater near the campground. All park programs are free and are for all ages, but a vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased at the park office.
Campground Critters: All About Animals on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.

All park programs are free and are for all ages, but a vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased at the park office.
Bats! At Yellowstone Lake on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
Yellowstone Lake State Park will host a program where you can learn about the bats of Yellowstone Lake and the state of Wisconsin and why you might not see as many bats as you might have a few years ago on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater near the campground. All park programs are free and are for all ages, but a vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased at the park office.
Astronomy for Kids on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.
Yellowstone Lake State Park will host a program where you can learn about astronomy on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. in the amphitheater near the campground. All park programs are free and are for all ages, but a vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased at the park office. Following this program, around 7:30 p.m. the UW-Madison Astronomy department will teach you even more about astronomy and if it’s a clear night will let you look through their telescope at the stars.
