MONROE - The Monroe Woman's Club Christmas Stocking Project is holding a coat drive to collect new and like-new coats for children of all ages through Nov. 1. The coats will be distributed to families in need prior to Christmas. Coats can be dropped off at Monroe One Hour Cleaner's at 1629 9th St., Monroe. All coats need to be in new condition with no stains, tears or broken zippers. Monroe One Hour Cleaners will donate the cleaning of all coats.
The mission of Christmas Stocking, which was founded more than 60 years ago, is to help families in need have a merry Christmas by providing food for a holiday meal and gifts for children.
Donations are accepted throughout the year and can be sent to Christmas Stocking Fund; 901 16th Ave.; Monroe, WI 53566.
For more information or questions regarding the coat drive or Christmas Stocking, contact Sue Barrett (608) 328-4420.
