Whine in the Woods Sept. 10 will benefit humane society

MONROE - The Green County Humane Society will host its third annual Whine in the Woods fundraising event from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 10.

Featuring a variety of wine and craft beer, the event will raise money for the care of rescued animals and maintenance of the humane society's shelter.

Attendees can enjoy craft beer from the New Glarus Brewery, Pecatonica Beer Company and The Grumpy Troll, while food will be prepared by chefs from local restaurants such as Pancho & Lefty's, Buggyworks and Turner Hall. Artisan cheeses will also be served.

Attendees can also participate in a wine pull raffle or purchase artwork and other handcrafted items, with all proceeds going to the humane society. Musicians Mark Croft and Jon Vriesacker will provide live music throughout the event.

Whine in the Woods will take place at Barrett's Cabin, N3802 Wisconsin 59, Town of Monroe.
