UWP awards scholarships to locals

PLATTEVILLE _ The University of Wisconsin-Platteville awarded scholarships to its incoming first-year class, which is the largest grade of newcomers in school history.Area students included: - Katie Krupke, Albany, who won the Albany High School Community Scholarship, totaling $900.- Abigail Flanagan, Argyle, who won the Argyle High School Community Scholarship, totaling $150.- Taylor Hauser, Argyle, who won the Argyle High School Community Scholarship, totaling $150.- Collin Adams, Belleville, who won the Belleville High School Community Scholarship, totaling $150.- Troy Farrell, Blanchardville, who won the Leo E. and Phoebe W. Boebel Memorial, Joyce Mueller Memorial and Pecatonica High School Community Scholarship, totaling $3,150.- Joshua Dougherty, Brodhead, who won the Brodhead High School Community Scholarship, totaling $100.- Rachel Raupp, Brodhead, who won the Freshman Achievement and Leadership Scholarship and Brodhead High School Community Scholarship, totaling $600.- Katie Carlson, Darlington, who won the Women in EMS Scholarship, totaling $600. - Katie Loken, Darlington, who won the Glenn Riddle Scholarship and School of Education Scholarship, totaling $400. - Emily Salathe, Darlington, who won the Freshman Achievement and Leadership Scholarship and Darlington High School Community Scholarship, totaling $1,500.
